Handmade leather journal – review
I earlier
told that I had bought new journal from etsy seller - HandmadePanache, and I had
decided not to do a post about it, but the seller was so nice that I changed my
plan.
I usually
pick this that has dark colored theme, but this one was bright darker shade of
green, as my sister put it – quite poisonous color :D I picked the pattern that
had pentacle on it. I usually tend to pick ones that either has some quite not obvious
witchcraft symbols or the three of life designs, but this was sort of calling
me. I had viewed it multiple times before I actually bought it.
The book is
made in a way that you can refill the content when it is full, it is bound with
cotton cord, I think. the cover leather is thick, seems to be decent quality
and the inside of the cover is some sort of fabric. The paper of the book is
thick enough to hold watercolors and such. The seller has the properties listed
on the etsy, you can view them there.
The size of
the book is good, not too big as A4 but not as small as A5, maybe B5 or something
like that. Either way, it’s good size for writing and such.
About the
seller, they are really nice and helpful. I wasn’t able to receive the package
when it first arrived, the FedEx guy had ringed the doorbell and it is broken
so I didn’t hear it and none of our dogs didn’t react to it, so I missed the
delivery. The seller contacted me via message and reminded me to contact the FedEx
to schedule new delivery etc. Next day I finally got my package, it came in
good condition, as I was little worried that the package might gotten some
damage, it didn’t.
Inside the package
was the book and envelope with handwritten text to tell me open it with smile.
Inside that was pretty card that also had handwritten and personalized message,
which I think was the best part of the whole thing. I quite like it when the
sellers make time to personally address the customers.
When I was
trying to leave review to etsy, the page didn’t let me do that yet, so I contacted
the seller and told them how I was feeling about the book, the delivery and
such, they replied me back thanking and being happy that there was such a
customers that appreciated their craft. Next day I was able to leave my review
on the site, and I did. The seller contacted me later and thanked such an awesome
review.
So point of
this post is to give appreciation to handcrafters and other small business
owners, I do personally know what it is like, it can be hard and now with the
corona and all, it can be lot harder.
If you are
looking to buy handmade journals for grimoires or other uses, I suggest you to check
the seller out -> HandmadePanache
Blessings,
Jady
